General information

International tourist Forum “Tourism and Resorts” has proved itself as one of the leading congress-exhibition actions in Northwest Russia promoting the modern tourism and resorts industry and business contacts of professionals of tourist and resort complexes.

At different times the organizers of the Forum were: Federal agency of tourism of the Russian Federation, Administration of St.-Petersburg, Russian Union of Tourist Industry, Association of tourist-excursion enterprises workers, National Tourist Association, National Resort Association, Reed Travel Exhibitions, Joint-Stock Company "St.-Petersburg Express".

The basic purpose of the Forum is a discussion of actual problems of Russian tourist industry’s development and searching of new ways and decisions.

Objectives of the Forum are: organization of discussions on pressing questions of successful business conducting in tourism sphere, acquaintance with a condition and prospects of the hospitality industry development, studying of the Russian and foreign experience, searching new business partners.

The forum is focused on the Russian and foreign experts and businessmen of various branches, professional meeting organizers, service providers, representatives of related associations and unions, educational establishments, the state and regional authorities, etc.

In 2008 VIII St.-Petersburg Forum "Tourism and Resorts" takes place from the 30th of September till the 3rd of October, 2008. Traditionally it will be held in parallel with the exhibition «INWETEX – CIS TRAVEL MARKET’2008» which will allow the participants not only to make direct business contacts but also to acquaint with the best Russian and international experience in the sphere of tourism development.

The leading foreign and Russian experts in the field of tourism are invited to the Forum "Tourism and resorts" to make reports and master-classes.

The Forum evidently shows appeal and huge potential of tourist resources of our country, renders the most positive influence on expansion of the international tourist communications. Long-term experience of carrying out of the Forum shows its high efficiency as major marketing tool of a tourist product and catalyst of tourist business activity.
