Russian Union of Travel Industry Goals and objectives of tourism development in the North-West of Russia

Main activities:

1. Improvement of management of the development process of Travel Industry on the territory of the North-Western Federal District.

• Creation and keeping the register of tourist recourses of the N-W district of Russia.
• Organization and carrying out of the monitoring of tourism recourses of the N-W of Russia.
• Elaboration and realization of the creative conception of creation and functioning of regional system of tourist-information centers.
• Elaboration and realization of the improvement conception of space organization of travel industry (including definition and promotion of regional and international tour corridors and tour routes, territories (zones) of priority development of tourism, etc.).
• Elaboration and realization of development programs (including infrastructure) of district tour corridors (tour routes) and priority tourist territories (zones).
• Elaboration of offers on extending of regional specialization of subjects of the NWFD in separate kinds of tourist-recreational activity.
• Elaboration of a district support program for development of sports and tourist goods (buses, cutters, yachts, boats, motor sledges, sport equipment), fishing and hunting equipment, and souvenirs production.
• Creation of the Tourism Union of the NWFD and organization ... coordinational center by it to assist/for assistance successful position and promotion regions to the Russian and international tourist markets and attraction into investments to the tourism field/sphere.
• Elaboration of the offers on improving work of international (...) tourist unions in force (associations, consortiums, corporations) to rise /increase effect .../ profit in solving ...regional issues in the developing of the Tourism Industry.
In collaboration with MIA RF consider issues/questions of simplifying procedures on drawing up Russian visas in consulate establishments abroad. In collaboration with frontier service, ГТК and other control bodies consider issues about/on improving technological schemes of ... checking to reduce a person's time being in the checking point. At the checking point of "Shumilkino" on the border of the Russian-Estonian border (Pskov region) open a consulate point for drawing up Russian 2-hour visas. Spread the influence/effect of these visas on Leningrad and Pskov regions.
